Twelve Mates, Seven Days: Our Da Nang Golf Trip Pullman, Courses & Hoi An
Da Nang Golf Trip: 12 Guys, 7 Days of Golf, Food & Hoi An Culture Join 12 mates for a seven‑day Da Nang golf trip—beachfront stays at Pullman Danang, top courses like Hoi Ana Shores, D‑Din and Ba Na Hills, expert caddies, a Hoi An day trip, and practical group travel tips.
Twelve Mates, Seven Days: Our Da Nang Golf Trip
Last February a group of 12 of us flew into Da Nang for a seven‑day golf challenge—and it turned into exactly the kind of brilliant chaos you hope for on a mates’ trip. We based ourselves at the Pullman Danang Beach Resort and played Hoi Ana Shores, Montgomie links, DaNang Golf Course and the demanding Ba Na Hills course, with a lantern‑lit day trip to Hoi An in the middle.
Where We Stayed: Pullman Danang Beach Resort
We chose Pullman for its beachfront location just outside the city center. The hotel had a great pool, a wellness center for post‑round massages, and a massive international buffet that set us up for the day. Transfers to the courses were short and efficient—perfect for a group pace.

The Courses
Hoi Ana Shores
A stunning seaside layout with several “wow” holes and a classy clubhouse. A great way to kick off a golf tour near Da Nang.
Seaside views at Hoi Ana Shores — expect memorable holes and great photo ops.
Montgomerie Links Golf Club
Montgomerie showed character and some challenging holes but felt like it had better days behind it. Not a favorite, but still worth a visit if you’re cycling through local courses.
Danang Golf Club
One of our favorites: tidy facilities, friendly staff, and a windy, strategic layout that demanded thought on every shot.
Ba Na Hills
Technically the toughest course of the week and my personal highlight. Dramatic elevation changes, clever routing, and the option for floodlit night play (we didn’t try it, but it looks incredible).
Ba Na Hills — the course that separated the steady from the heroic.
Caddies & Service
Caddies in Vietnam were a standout. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the rounds more enjoyable—especially for anyone struggling with their swing. Tipping is customary; plan a little extra for caddies and you’ll get great value in return.
Logistics, Food & Group Money
Each course gave us a charge card for food and pro‑shop purchases so everything could be settled at checkout. Clubs and shoes were cleaned after rounds and loaded on the bus—very low fuss. For splitting group bills we used Splitwise, which kept the accounting painless. Dinners averaged about $30 per person for five courses with drinks—excellent value.
A Day Off in Hoi An
Hoi An is a must-do midweek: tailors who can whip up garments by evening, incredible street food (don’t miss the banh mi), and a lantern‑lit riverside dinner that’s even lovelier in person than the photos.

Practical Tips for Planning Your Da Nang Golf Trip
Book Pullman Danang for group convenience to major courses.
Avoid Chinese New Year—many businesses close around then.
Use Splitwise or a similar app to split group expenses cleanly.
Budget for caddie tips—local caddies add real value to the round.
Schedule a non‑golf day for Hoi An to balance culture and rest.
Consider trying a night round at Ba Na Hills if available.
Final Thoughts
The mix of great company, varied courses, attentive caddies and a perfect slice of local culture made this Da Nang golf trip one of the most memorable group trips we’ve done. If you’re planning a group golf tour in Vietnam, this itinerary is a solid starting point.
